The name Satoru Iwata is identical with Nintendo and his success, although in fact he is not the first President of the giant game. But thanks to him, a portable game console Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii consoles revolutionary turnout.

During the 1990s, Satoru Iwata also shows a strong understanding of the video game industry. Soon after IT nearly went bankrupt in 1992, Iwata was appointed President of the company, which lasted for seven years, from 1993 to 2000.

In 2000, Satoru Iwata moved from IT to Nintendo. He served as head of Corporate Planning Division, Nintendo, where he was responsible for planning the company Nintendo on a global basis. This new job, directly in the Nintendo themselves, as well as give Iwata a greater chance to show his ability.

It took only two years, in 2002, Satoru Iwata was appointed President of Nintendo, Hiroshi Yamauchi subsequently became an advisor to the Board of Directors. Under Iwata, Nintendo managed to build leadership in the handheld gaming market with the Nintendo DS and help expand the game to a wider audience with the release of the Nintendo Wii.
