Linux Ubuntu Getting into smartphones, tablets, and Smart TV

Ubuntu is known as a Linux-based operating system for use on a PC or laptop. But starting next year, Ubuntu will you can find in other devices such as Smartphones, tablets, and smart TV.

The official announcement of the plan the future of Ubuntu is actually just about to do in the event the Ubuntu Developer Summit which took place in Orlando, us. However, this information is precisely "leaked" directly from Mark Shuttleworth, founder of Canonical, the company behind the Ubuntu Linux disro, when interviewed by the journalist from ZDnet.

Mark says, short term plan is drafted Ubuntu Ubuntu 12.04 (released April 2012) stable and equip it with a desktop interface, so that it can meet the Unity around the needs of its users. After that, the new Canonical will expand from a Linux desktop computers across different types of computing devices.

"This is a natural expansion in line with the Mission of Ubuntu Linux as for all humanity. Everyone will switch from a desktop to a new computational media, therefore it is important to us closer to the community that use these new media. So, we will take the challenge to implement Ubuntu in smartphones, tablets, and intelligent television, "said Mark added.

This plan will certainly make Ubuntu competition among mobile operating system that is currently still stuck between the (Google), Android, Windows Phone, and iOS (Apple).

Unfortunately, this plan will not come through Ubuntu in the near future. Mark Shuttleworth says Ubuntu for mobile devices and this new television will be available in April 2014.
